From the base camp, climbing camp begins by crossing a very broad area that fostered the pines so pretty shady and cool in the daytime. Sloped then start entering the forest. Climbing lane is still quite gentle, but will often found the T-junction, and the intersection path leading to the township residents, as well as track the population looking for firewood and grass, for it still choose the path of least width. Walking around one hour will arrive at the intersection of lines.

Dangerous path across a narrow ridge with a side ravine and guess right, you should not pass this point, still follow the official track.

From Slate terrain begins to open grassland very steep and dusty. When the rainy season is very slippery path that needs to struggle very hard to crawl to move upwards. The peak of Mount Merbabu is still not visible, climbers still have to pass four steep hill to reach the top of Mount Merbabu.

About 1 hour struggle across the rugged terrain and steep climbers will reach the top of the hill, then down and ramps across the prairies. The scenery around in the Meadow is very beautiful, like hills Teletubies. Slightly up hill and then down again climbers will get Jemblongan ie a place that many tumbuhi Edelweiis in large size and tight so that form a shady forest.

Climbers can take a break while lying in the shade of the woods Edelweiss. Here is the last place that can be used for shelter and rest comfortably, because the next track in the form of open grassland, dry and very steep, dusty in the dry season and very slippery in the wet season.

From Jemblongan back climbers must fight to climb steep hills, slippery and dusty. The peak of Mount Merbabu is still visible as it is covered hill. The natural landscape is quite entertaining, on the left side there is Mount Kenong and on the right side of the mountain there is a sharp and steep Kukusan.

After walking about 1 hour will appear peaks Merbabu. Very beautiful scenery in front of the eyes, as well as stunning scenery, as we see steep terrain path we should go to reach the top of the mountain Merbabu.
